For an impressive manufacturer and market leader in the North West, we are recruiting an Operations Director to drive change.

Main responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Managing Director and the senior leadership team, the Operations Director will be driving change for the improved operational efficiency of the manufacturing sites.
  • The Operations Director will be a strong ambassador for strict compliance with Health and Safety and Quality, sharing best practice with all sites.
  • Through strong leadership, they will create a culture of accountability and ownership, continuously driving change to support excellent performance.
  • Through Continuous Improvement initiatives, leading by example and ensuring CI processes are consistent throughout the sites, the Operations Director will engender a culture of customer focus and meeting expectations in Quality, Lead Time and On Time Delivery.

The candidate profile:

  • You have gained experience managing one or several bespoke manufacturing sites, putting structures and processes in an agile and fast-growing SME, with a focus on quality and on time delivery.
  • As Operations Director, General Manager or Head of Operations, you have gained experience driving change through Continuous Improvement measures (5S, 8D, root cause analysis etc).
  • A natural leader, you thrive on structuring, developing and coaching high-performing teams to achieve demanding objectives.
